šŸ™Œ Things to do around SJ this weekend (11/22-11/24)

Cozy maker markets, the Tech Interactive, and a spicy Hunan noodle spot

Welcome back to SJ Weekender. Brrrā€¦.itā€™s been a cold week. Since it looks like weā€™re also in for some rain, I kept the events section light and made sure to include some cozy rainy-day places to go ā˜”ļø

Hereā€™s your roundup of the best things to do around San Jose this weekendā€”donā€™t miss cozy maker markets, the Tech Interactive, and a spicy Hunan noodle spot.

šŸŒŸ 3 Weekend Events to Attend

  • When: Sat. (11/23), 4-9PM

  • Where: Off the Rails Brewing Co. (111 South Murphy Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086)

  • Price: Free admission

  • Description: A cozy night market featuring 25+ makers and even a hip-hop puppet show by The Mighty Giants. Thereā€™ll be everything from clothes to books and home decor. Swing by the brewery after for some pub grub and craft beer.

  • When: Sat. (11/23), 10AM-5PM

  • Where: Paseo de San Antonio (150 South 1st Street, San Jose, CA 95113)

  • Price: Free admission

  • Description: A small outdoor pop-up market with local makers and small businesses. Check out vendors like Niaā€™s Desk, Loafly Catfe, The Hungry Sloth, and the free 11AM pinata making workshop at Suenos. Final vendor lineup will depend on the weather. Dog friendly!

šŸš—  1 Place to Visit

  • Where: 201 S. Market St., San Jose, CA 95113

  • Price: $36+ for adults (buy tickets)

  • Description: Feeling restless but still want to stay dry this rainy weekend? Check out 100+ tech-themed exhibits and experiences spanning everything from biotechnology to art. Their winter-themed Polar Play Days experience will also start this Saturdayā€”perfect for a family rainy day activity.

šŸ‘€ 1 Restaurant to Try

  • Where: 1149 Lawrence Expy Sunnyvale, CA 94089

  • Description: An understated spot for the best spicy Chinese noodle dishes, perfect for a cold rainy dayā€”itā€™s one of my personal go-to spots! Itā€™s authentic Hunan-level spiciness, so add their spicy oil with lots of caution. Try their special rice noodles with beef bone ($18.74) and rice noodles topped with bu beans & minced pork ($21.24)*.
