🙌 What to do in SJ this weekend (5/31-6/2)

SJ Made Fest, South Bay's largest Greek festival, and new restaurants to check out

Welcome back to SJ Weekender. Here’s your roundup of 5 fun things to do in San Jose this weekend—lots of craft fairs/festivals to attend, a small garden to visit, and some cool new restaurants to check out!

🌟 3 Events to Attend

  • When: Sat. and Sun. (6/1-6/2) 11AM-6PM

  • Where: History Park San Jose

  • Price: Free admission; nearby paid parking garages available

  • Description: One of the most popular maker festivals, with over 200+ small businesses, a kitten lounge, and K-pop dance lessons. Bring a blanket for a picnic on the grass, or grab a bite at a food truck. First 1,000 attendees each day gets a cute bag. Dog friendly.

  • When: Friday (5/31) 5-10PM, Sat. (6/1) 11AM-10PM, Sun. (6/2) 11AM-8PM

  • Where: 1260 Davis Street, San Jose, CA 95126

  • Price: $5 admission; free parking & shuttle available

  • Description: The largest Greek festival in the South Bay. Enjoy authentic Greek food, pastries, sweets, and drinks—almost everything is handmade using traditional recipes! There will also be live music, dancing, and entertainment.

  • When: Fri. (5/31) 5-9PM

  • Where: 1590 Berryessa Rd., San Jose, CA 95133

  • Price: Free admission with $5 parking

  • Description: Have a fun night out while supporting local AANHPI (Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) small businesses at this Berryessa Night Market event. Browse around, get some Asian dishes at the food trucks, and enjoy live performances.

 🚗 1 Place to Visit

  • Where: 1431 Waverley Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301

  • Price: Free admission; lots of free street parking available

  • Description: A beautiful historic garden with a cute gazebo. It’s not very large—perfect for a quick afternoon stroll. There’s also an outdoor yoga class and a paper making workshop in the garden this Saturday.

 🍽️ 1 Restaurant to Try  

  • Where: 50 W Main St Los Gatos, CA 95030

  • Description: A hidden gem in downtown Los Gatos that offers cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more. Swing by to try a their famous banana cake and cupcake.

👀 New to SJ

Check out these restaurants that opened earlier this month!

  • Where: 2071 Camden Ave, San Jose, CA 95124

  • Description: Offers delicious Southern-inspired food like pancake breakfast platters ($16.99), chicken & waffles ($16.79), peach ice tea ($5.99), and beignets ($8.29).*

  • Where: 88 S 4th St, San Jose, CA 95112

  • Description: A Chinese/Taiwanese eatery next to the SJSU campus. Try their classic fried chicken wings ($11.75), hot pot (around $16), and beef chow fun ($10.75).*
