Santa Clara County Summer Fair

• When: Thurs. (7/25) 3-10PM, Fri. (7/26) 3-11PM, Sat. (7/27) 1-11PM, & Sun. (7/28) 1-10PM

• Where: 344 Tully Rd. San Jose, CA 95111

• Price: $11-$34 (buy tickets here)

• Description: There’s nothing like summer without a good ol’ fashioned carnival. Bring your family and friends (or just yourself!) and enjoy fun carnival rides, live entertainment, and a livestock show. Whether you want to watch a BMX stunt show, children’s magic acts, or go on a pony ride, there’s a little something for everyone.

Story Road Night Market

• When: Fri. & Sat. (7/26-7/27), 4-10PM

• Where: Grand Century Mall (1111 Story Road, San Jose CA 95122)

• Price: Free admission

• Description: End the work week with delicious eats and tons of fun at this night market. There will be food vendors offering everything from pastries to Vietnamese dishes. Plus, check out plants, jewelry, cute stationary, and more from local makers. The grand opening ceremony will start at 5:45 PM with a special performance from Vovinam America.

Downtown San Jose Sidewalk Shops: Artist Alley

• When: Sat. (7/27), 1-6PM

• Where: MOMENT Paseo (112 & 115 Paseo de San Antonio, San José, CA 95112) and MOMENT San Pedro Square (60 N. San Pedro Street, San José, CA 95113)

• Price: Free admission

• Description: The first Sidewalk Shops event of the year. Support your local small businesses and swing by both event locations—there’ll be cute accessories, stickers, pottery, and more! Jacquelin de Leon will also be hosting a free watercoloring workshop at the MOMENT Paseo location. Dog friendly.

Portola Redwoods State Park

• Where: 9000 Portola State Park Rd, La Honda, CA 94020

• Price: $10 vehicle day-use fee

• Description: If you’re up for a day trip, come visit this lush shaded redwood forest just an hour’s drive from San Jose. There’s 18 miles of trails over creeks, waterfalls, and beautiful greenery for you to hike. Take a guided hike to the new pedestrian bridge this Saturday. Experienced hikers can go on an 11.5-mile hike to Peter’s Creek, the third-largest grove of old-growth redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Wanderlust Creamery (Pop-Up Shop)

• Where: Te’Amo Boba Tea x Mochi Nut (4131 El Camino Real #101, Palo Alto, CA 94306)

• When: Sat. & Sun. (7/27-7/28), 2-10PM

• Description: Touted as one of the best ice cream places in los Angeles, Wanderlust Creamery will be having a rare Bay Area appearance in Palo Alto this weekend. Pop by for a scoop of their unique ice cream and see if it lives up to the hype.

Amazing Katsu

• Description: Satisfy your Japanese food craving with fresh made-to-order katsu. They currently only offer takeout and delivery, but they might be opening a dine-in location soon. Try their signature amazing katsu ($22.00), pork loin katsu ($18.50), and cheese katsu ($19.50).*

Boltiful Fresh Kitchen

• Where: 1078 E Brokaw Rd Unit 40, San Jose, CA 95131

• Description: Think Chipotle—but healthier, fresher, and with an Asian twist. Try their signature teriyaki chicken rice bowl ($17.49), miso tofu bowl ($18.49), or a build-your-own bowl ($13.99 for a regular bowl).*
